Number 5 LC350 restoration, was purchased from P.J.Morrison on the Sunshine Coast. The bike had been in his family since he was 12 and he’s told me since that he learnt to ride on it around a cow paddock at the back of his house, then the bike was dismantled in the hope of restoring it but it never happened. So I bought it in “kit” form. Even the engine was in pots and boxes. As I’d re-built a few LC’s by now it didn’t phase me the fact is was in 15 boxes but actually made it more interesting making the “old girl” whole and running again.
I did the usual fine-tooth comb stock take of all the parts I had and then proceeded to make my first “required” parts list which turned into a very big order of everything I could see that was missing and especially any parts I needed for the first stages.
The resto went pretty much to standard but it was extra special hearing it start up after all those years and even better being able to send the finished article photos over to PJ.
